We had an awesome learning experience! Students created carp kites, played dragon tail, and enjoyed Asian candies!
Students have measured using non-standard units, so it was time to measure with standard units! Students measured out 1 cup of Cheez-Its, 1 and 1/3 cup of marshmallows, and 3/4 cup of popcorn.
We've learned about many traditions, celebrations, languages, and customs from around the world! More to come!
We learned about the history of Saint Patrick's Day! We learned about Saint Patrick and the symbols associated with this holiday. While we were at recess, the leprechauns came! They took some of Ms. Owens' gold coins, and they left us a treasure hunt map to find them! "This is the best day ever!" - said several ecstatic students :)
